Dr. Fuad Hajji is currently a research scientist within the Division of Structure and Functionality at the German Institute of Food Technologies (DIL), with research experience in phase transitions (e.g. solid crystallization), microencapsulation, polymer incompatibility, emulsions and (pet) food processing (e.g. extrusion). He graduated with a degree in Food Engineer (hons.) from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Bonn, Germany and holds a PhD from the University of Nottingham, UK. He was involved in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie STEP ITN programme and was awarded the Cyril Keattch Scientist Award by the TMG in 2012. Apart from multiple articles in international journals, he also serves as peer-reviewer for a number of journals including Carbohydrate Polymers, International Journal of Molecular Sciences and Food & Function
